competition dance
We offer three types of competitive All-Star teams
SHOOTING STARS
Shooting Stars is our elite dance program that is for students that want to take dance more seriously. To become a member of a Shooting Stars team, students must audition and be accepted. We hold auditions for our Shooting Stars at the end of each year, ready for the upcoming new year. This program helps to develop our dancer's skills more quickly and effectively.
Our Shooting Stars teams work together over two days a week and cover a variety of work that includes Jazz, Lyrical, Ballet & Acro. They are also required to do a Cecchetti Ballet Exam class suited to their level. If at a passable standard and wanting to do so, students will participate in their Cecchetti exam as well. Our Shooting Stars teams spend time as a team working on and perfecting a Jazz and Lyrical competition dance and compete with these dances at 4 competitions per year. Of course, our Shooting Stars teams also perform at our
bi-annual concerts.
In 2022, we have six Shooting Stars teams.

Our pom troupes work together for a minimum of two hours a week to perfect a routine to compete with at 4 competitions throughout the year. They also perform at our bi-annual concerts.
To become a member of one of our pom troupes, students must audition and be accepted. We hold auditions for our pom troupes at the end of each year, ready for the upcoming new year.
Within our Pom Troupe program, we have a Shooting Stars stream and a novice stream. Our Shooting Stars stream is for our elite dancers who usually all come from our Shooting Stars program. These dancers are already training in their Shooting Stars program for around 4-6 hours a week. Our novice stream is for our dancers who also want to experience the competition world and be pushed more than they would in a recreational class, but don't need to commit to too many hours of training.
In 2022, we have seven Pom troupes. Alula, Lyra, Stella, Nova and Vega are part of our Shooting Stars stream. Orion and Celeste are part of our novice stream
